1. Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how Guard Boss, LLC (“Guard Boss,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies in connection with the Services. Capitalized terms not defined in this Cookie Policy have the meanings given in the Guard Boss Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
This Cookie Policy is incorporated into the Guard Boss Terms of Service and should be read together with the Guard Boss Privacy Policy.
2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on a browser or device. Similar technologies may include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, software development kits, log files, device identifiers, and other technologies that store or access information on a browser or device.
3. How Guard Boss Uses Cookies
Guard Boss may use cookies and similar technologies to:
- authenticate users and maintain login sessions;
- secure accounts and detect unauthorized access;
- remember user preferences and Platform settings;
- operate checkout, transaction, payment, merchant, and storefront functionality;
- support fraud prevention, risk review, chargeback handling, and marketplace integrity;

4. Categories of Cookies
4.1 Essential Cookies
Essential cookies are necessary to operate the Services. They may support login, authentication, account security, session management, fraud prevention, payment processing, load balancing, and core Platform functionality. The Services may not function properly without these cookies.
4.2 Functional Cookies
Functional cookies may remember user preferences, account settings, workflow state, and interface choices.
4.3 Payment and Merchant Cookies
Payment processors and related service providers may use cookies or similar technologies to support checkout, merchant onboarding, account verification, fraud prevention, dispute handling, chargeback management, and payment security. These technologies may be governed by the applicable provider’s own policies.
4.4 Infrastructure and Security Technologies
Infrastructure and security providers may use cookies, logs, device data, network data, or similar technologies to support hosting, routing, content delivery, security, abuse prevention, and service availability.
5. Privacy-Focused Analytics
Guard Boss may use privacy-focused analytics technologies that do not rely on advertising cookies or cross-context behavioral tracking. Such analytics may be used to understand aggregate usage patterns, monitor performance, identify operational issues, and improve the Services.
6. No Behavioral Advertising Cookies
Guard Boss does not currently use cookies or similar technologies for cross-context behavioral advertising, retargeting, or sale/share of personal information for advertising purposes.
If Guard Boss later uses advertising cookies or similar tracking for behavioral advertising, Guard Boss will update this Cookie Policy and provide notices or choices where required by applicable law.
7. Third-Party Technologies
The Services may rely on third-party providers for authentication, hosting, infrastructure, analytics, mapping, payment processing, communications, content delivery, security, and operational support. These providers may use cookies or similar technologies in connection with their services.
Guard Boss does not control all third-party technologies and is not responsible for third-party cookie practices. Third-party providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
8. Managing Cookies
You can usually configure your browser to block, delete, or restrict cookies. Browser settings vary, and you should consult your browser’s help documentation for instructions.
Blocking or deleting cookies may affect the availability or functionality of the Services, including login, account access, checkout, payment processing, storefront functionality, course workflows, and security controls.
9. Global Privacy Controls and Do Not Track
Some browsers or extensions may transmit “Do Not Track” or similar signals. Because there is no uniform industry standard for responding to such signals, Guard Boss does not currently respond to all such signals in a uniform manner.
If legally required to honor a recognized browser-based opt-out preference signal for applicable practices, Guard Boss will do so for those practices. Guard Boss does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
10. Updates
Guard Boss may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes to this Cookie Policy are governed by the modification and notice provisions contained in the Guard Boss Terms of Service.
Non-material changes, including formatting updates, administrative updates, clarifications, or changes that do not materially affect cookie practices or user rights, may become effective immediately upon posting.
Continued use of the Services after updated terms become effective constitutes acknowledgment of the updated Cookie Policy where permitted by law.
