About this bundle
If you’re serious about starting a career in security, this is the bundle for you. It includes the eight (8) hours of Guard Card courses you need before you can submit your application to BSIS and the thirty-two (32) hours of continuing education you have to complete within the first year after your Guard Card is issued.
The 8-hour Guard Card courses bundle includes:
- Online Powers to Arrest course
- In-person Appropriate Use of Force course
The 32-hour Continuing Education courses bundle includes:
- The four mandatory courses prescribed by BSIS
- Four elective courses hand-picked to give you a practical, well-rounded training experience
That’s all forty hours of training mandated by BSIS within the first year.
Why you should do all forty hours up front...
- Be prepared from day one – You’ll have the knowledge and confidence that guard’s who only did the first eight hours won’t have.
- No need to scramble to meet requirements – Time after work is precious. You don’t want to spend it cramming thirty-two hours of mandatory training. With the Full 40 bundle, you’ll be set for the year.
- Stand out to employers – You’ll show companies that you’re serious about the job and can go the extra mile when you need to, both of which will put you far ahead of other applicants.
Note: You must complete the online Powers to Arrest course before you come in to our facility for the in-person Appropriate Use of Force course. You should plan to spend about 3 hours at our facility. You can finish the remaining thirty-two hours online on your own and at your own pace.
