How To Link Guards
When a guard is linked to your company, you can assign them courses, track their progress, download their certificates of completion, and view their licenses and permits.
What Information Is Shared
Companies can view:
- Basic Account Information This includes the guard’s name, email address, and profile picture.
- Course Progess and Certificates This includes progress for assigned courses and certificates of completion for both assigned courses and courses purchased by the guard.
- Permit Information This includes all permits the guard is tracking along with their numbers, expiration dates, and uploaded images.
Companies cannot view:
- Sensitive account information, such as the guard’s password or payment history.
- Which companies the guard is linked to.
- Progress for courses not assigned by the linked company.
Note: Companies cannot delete or make changes to linked guard accounts.
Common Questions
Can any company link guards?
Any company with an employer account can link guards. Companies with a training facility account, however, do not have access to guard linking.
Is there a limit on the number of links?
There is no number limit. Companies can link as many guards as they want and guards can have active links to as many companies as they want. However, guards can only have two (2) pending requests at a time.
Can a link request be canceled?
Yes, guards can cancel a link request. After logging in, click the “Companies” link in the main navigation and delete the request. Companies can reject a request through the request management page.
Can a link be deleted?
Yes, either the guard or the company can delete a link at any time. Deleting a link will not remove any courses the company has assigned or affect the guard’s account in any way. Similar to canceling a request, from the guard account click the “Companies” link in the main navigation and delete the link. Companies can delete links through the guard management page.
